Summer break

It’s summer, time to enjoy a well-deserved holiday. Granted, the summer of 2020 is unusual, but the essence remains the same. So, relax, put your feet up, drink in one hand, book in the other. These past few weeks we have noticed a lot of companies engaging in research again, something that is certainly recommended. Not only are companies that continue to invest in brand, media and marketing arising stronger from the crisis, brands also need to continue to build on existing memory structures to generate impact. Whether it is crisis time or the off-season period. And that is exactly the passion of everyone at DVJ, helping brands grow whatever time it may be.
As world’s most famous scientist once said: “In the midst of every crisis, lies great opportunity.” And that is exactly how we have spent the past few months. As a company, we used the period to optimise our internal processes and performed extra analyses fitting of the times we are in. We introduced a new deliverable portal, performed countless measurements, and conducted a dozen studies based on our database.
Which brings us to August. And although temperatures are rising once more and the sun has been out more and more, I am excited to continue this path. It is great to be back at work and seeing colleagues more often. Okay, a short break, and then back on track. After all, a great half year awaits us after the summer. We will be speaking at Marketing Week at the beginning of September, MarketingLive! in November, Festival of Marketing and Munich Marketing Week in Germany all on the calendar. But we are also organising our own event again, this year on Thursday October 1st.
Same ingredients
With our first digital edition, the Brand Growth Event will be different this year. Despite a different format, the ingredients remain the same. Several international top speakers and marketers will present their vision on brand growth and creative development, and, as always, we will share the results of the Brand Growth Study – this year across 3 countries; The Netherlands, the UK and for the first time in Germany.
So, lots of great things to look forward to. If you ask me, autumn can’t come soon enough. Here’s to a great summer; a time to rest, enjoy with family and friends, and then back at it again. Cheers!
