Ronald Jansen leaves DVJ Insights after 25 years

Published on 30 08 2021

After 25 years, Ronald Jansen is leaving the market research agency DVJ Insights, which he founded. At the end of August, Jansen will start the new marketing consultancy Mark Stronger. Lucas Hulsebos will remain in charge of DVJ Insights as CEO.

Jansen about his departure: “It is fantastic that Lucas and I have been able to turn our ideas and vision on market research into top products. At the time, this was a real reset and certainly not the easiest route to take, but one that was necessary to improve the profession. I am therefore incredibly proud that this has been achieved and that I have been able to work for so many wonderful clients. With Lucas and the current management team at the helm, I am fully confident that DVJ Insights will remain the fastest-growing research company in the Netherlands. That is why I am now able to take a new step in my career.”

At the end of August, Jansen launched the marketing consultancy Mark Stronger together with experienced marketing and brand experts Ed Borsboom and Rob Revet. This is a logical next step for Jansen: “In recent years, I have been increasingly involved in marketing rather than just market research. For example, through the annual, international Brand Growth Study by DVJ Insights. It struck me how many companies have good research and data at their disposal but are unable to use it to realise brand growth. That fascinates me. That is why Mark Stronger will support companies in realising growth.”

Jansen started DVJ Insights in 1996 in Nijmegen. The agency first focused specifically on radio research, but soon developed into a full-service market research agency. In 2014 Lucas Hulsebos joined as a partner and changed the structure of the company. After a move to Utrecht and the implementation of product and process improvements, DVJ Insights is now one of the fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands. Meanwhile, offices in London and Hamburg opened.
