Jiye Oh, Junior Researcher
Veröffentlicht AM 31 01 2022I have worked at DVJ for almost a year as Junior Researcher. With my study in Anthropology, my career was mostly around qualitative research. When I wanted to expand my research skill set, especially in quantitative research and analytics, I came across DVJ Insights. After completing the training, I started working for Philips on an international scale. I am constantly learning about new research methods. As I am working internationally, I use my knowledge of regions and cultures in China, Korea, and Japan. Of course, it helps that I speak different languages.
International setting
It is fun working in an international setting, and being part of a fast-growing company that allows you to grow on a personal level. What I find incredible is that everyone is supportive and willing to help. One of my direct colleagues is based in London, but the rest of my team lives in the Netherlands.
I also like the variety of projects: from pre-testing campaigns of fast-moving consumer goods to campaign evaluations for a non-profit. I have an affinity with sustainable businesses so it’s great I get to work with these types of businesses as well.
Every one of us is supportive and willing to help.
Personal growth
Onboarding was very hands-on. It required lots of learning by doing, but the great thing is that there is always someone to help you out. When I was about to get the sense of “I kinda know what I’m doing”, which was approximately 6 months in, I was assigned to a deep-dive. Again, my team leader allowed me to find solutions myself, try and learn. Every one of us is supportive and willing to help. This also encouraged me to jump in to help others. At DVJ you get the chance to grow and learn quickly. It is great to witness that within my team as well.
What do I want to pass on to new colleagues?
If you enjoy challenges, want to experience personal growth and enjoy collaboration with colleagues and clients, you can be the one to help us grow further.
