Being completely yourself increases work happiness of young people

Published on 19 09 2022

Being yourself increases happiness in the workplace, according to research conducted by #DVJ Insights for #Domino’s Netherlands on what young people aged 16 to 24 consider important in an ideal job or (side) job. Besides being able to be yourself (72%), they put salary (66%), flexibility in working hours and time (65%), and career opportunities (63%) in the top four most important characteristics.

With more than 2,000 job openings at Domino’s Netherlands, understanding on what basis young people make their choice for a (side) job is one of their most relevant issues right now. At a time when the labour market is under pressure and (side) jobs are up for grabs for many young people, happiness at work appears more important than ever. All the more reason to share the research results during the Week of Work Happiness (September 19-25).
