The next Brand Growth Event will be all about Corporate Social Responsibility

DVJ is, for the seventh time, organising the Brand Growth Event, which is the peak of the whole year-long ongoing DVJ Brand Growth theme: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The online event will be live-streamed on Thursday, May 11, 2023, showcasing best practices from leading brands as well as the most recent academic learnings presented by marketers and professors on the topic. For instance, speakers will provide practical advice on how companies can benefit society and the environment and how to incorporate CSR marketing strategies into their business strategies.
About the Brand Growth Platform
The Brand Growth platform is a knowledge base providing unique learnings for marketing and insight professionals looking to grow their brands. The platform consists of qualitative interviews with CMOs, CMIs, and CEOs from both global and top local brands like VodafoneZiggo, Volvo, Cloetta, Nestlé, and Unilever; a quantitative research study spanning 7 years among thousands of marketers across Europe; and the annual Brand Growth Event, where all the knowledge and learnings from research, science, and practice come together.

Corporate Social Responsibility as a driver for Brand Growth
Lucas Hulsebos, the CEO at DVJ, explains why CSR was selected as a theme for 2023: “Being aware of the impact that organizations have on society, the environment, and the economy CSR is a topic that is becoming more and more important for all brands. Some people even believe that without a purpose, companies do not have the right to exist. Additionally, by incorporating CSR into the strategy, businesses not only fulfil the responsibility they have to consumers and the environment, but CSR is also very beneficial for the company’s long-term growth, which makes it a valuable marketing asset and ingredient for Brand Growth.“
“We have already spoken to different professors and experts and reviewed relevant academic literature to generate a theoretical framework around CSR. We follow up by interviewing marketing- and insight- decision makers to understand their views on this topic and bring in the relevant nuances, next to conducting a large Brand Growth Study. “
CSR Brand Growth Event: Where science, research, and practice meet
Top marketing- strategic- and science experts will provide practical learnings about how companies can benefit society and the environment and how to successfully incorporate CSR marketing strategy into the business strategy during the online Brand Growth Event on May 11, 2023, live-streamed from a professional studio in Amsterdam.
Other speakers from practice and academia will be announced soon. At the event, DVJ will also present the results of their yearly European Brand Growth Study among more than 2,300 marketers in 10 European countries. For the first time, the study includes the perspectives of over 3,000 consumers to see where there are differences and similarities and on what dimensions consumers evaluate companies on their contribution to society.“
